Telecom companies Huawei and China Unicom have joined forces to launch the first 10G broadband network in Xiong’an District, Hebei Province, China.
This was reported on April 19 by the Mydrivers portal.
“The 10G broadband deployment is based on the world’s leading 50G PON solution. By upgrading the basic architecture of the fiber access network, the throughput for one user increases from the traditional gigabit level to the 10G level, and the network latency is reduced to the millisecond level,” the article says.
It is specified that in the home of one of the users connected to the new network, the internet download speed reached 9834 Mbps. The data upload speed was 1008 Mbps, while the latency “stably amounted to” only three milliseconds.
“For ordinary users, 10G broadband Internet access means not only an increase in Internet speed, but also a revolution in lifestyle,” Mydrivers reports.
