Stopping their choice on suspended ceilings, many are lost: what type to prefer? This is understandable – in all the variety of models it is difficult not to get confused. How to choose the right option? We will study the types of suspension solutions.
The most common material for the finish is gypsum plate, which are fixed on a pre -installed frame of bars.
The second type is all kinds of modular devices represented by the suspension structure and various tiles, racks or cassettes fixed on it. In the manufacture of plates, mineral fiber or gypsum is used.
The advantages of both systems are refractory, excellent soundproofing, environmental friendliness. However, they are both very sensitive to the bay. In order not to constantly make repairs, it is better to install a rack ceiling, which in the event of unforeseen “wet circumstances” can be easily adjusted by replacing a couple of elements.
Due to its ability to perfectly align the surface, both options are just right for domestic apartments with their uneven walls and ceilings. At the same time, you can even experiment: instead of a flat surface, create a concave or stepped, mirror or matte, white and gray … Fortunately, a huge selection of ceiling materials contributes to this.
The disadvantage of the ceiling made of drywall is the complexity of its installation. The sheets themselves are heavy and it will not be easy to fix them alone. The rack ceiling is permissible to install on their own.
And the last, single -level gypsum plasterboard ceiling is the most inexpensive option. Modular suspension systems are more expensive, but they look great both in the living room and in the office.
