Before engaging in the installation, polycarbonate sheets should be kept for several days away from moisture. This must be done in order to prevent the appearance of condensation inside the sheet. If the condensate has accumulated, it is worth blowing the sheets with compressed air. The roof of polycarbonate greenhouses must be designed so that there is a drain. One of the sides of the sheets has a protective layer from UV radiation. It is worth making sure that it turns out to be outside. The direction of the bending of the roof should coincide with the bend of the ribs. Before buying polycarbonate, check for it to have GOST 24045 94, it is better not to buy it without it because it can be defective.
The protective film should be removed only when the installation work is completed.
Strong clamping of the sheets should be avoided when attaching them, the size of the screw holes should be 6 millimeters larger than its size.
You can not leave the structural channels open, since dust, moisture or insects can get into them. The upper part of the sheet should be glued with an impenetrable sticky tape. The lower part of the sheet must be covered with a tape that passes water vapor. Using the transmitted tape, the pressure of the water vapor is aligned. The edges of the sheets on top must be closed with profiles. Depending on the necessity, the surface of the sheets must be wiped from pollution.
