During the construction of many modern cottage villages, just a tiled roof is laid in their projects. As an example, one can cite the same villages “Mikhailovskoye” or “Repin estate”, which are located near Peterhof. The mentality of customers is gradually changing, and contractors understand that now a tiled roof is a competitive advantage. And offering their project, they emphasize that the roof of a tile, “European version” will be completed.
Our market “spoil” words such as “soft tile” or “metal tiles”, with which some firms position soft and metal roofs. With natural tiles, these materials have nothing to do with. Such concepts exist only in Russia. In the West, they write: “Metal sheets” or “Metal corrugated board”, and the term “shinglass” is used to determine the bitumen tile.
The weight of the tiled roof is also not a big problem. According to SNiP, the roof should have the ability to withstand a weight of 200 kilograms per 1 square meter – this includes the weight of the material itself, from which the roof is made, the weight of wet snow and the wind load is made. The weight of one square meter of tiles is about 40 kilograms, and the weight of one square meter of the roofing “pie” having a heater is a little more. It is also worth considering that the purchase price for a good metal roof starts at 100 euros in one square meter, and this is comparable in cost and with natural tiles. When taking into account all the existing equal parameters, natural tiles also have undeniable advantages – it is made of environmentally friendly materials, and is also checked by the centuries -old practice of its application.
